Will AI Replace Physicians

Much discussion was had at Health Datapalooza 2017 regarding whether AI (specifically IBM Watson in this instance) would/could replace the physician and other care team providers. There were many assurances from session panel presenters that the promise of AI is simply augmentation of human engagement with significantly advanced knowledge, information, and precision. Routine tasks being replaced by machine learning to enable greater personal engagement with patients by physicians and care team providers.
